This wonderful set of lovebirds were total foodies & really wanted to showcase themselves as a couple through their wedding menu. An idea which I absolutely loved as a chef! Their first date was at Salty Sow, and that's also the restaurant they were at when the handsome groom asked his bride-to-be if she'd marry him. The couple wanted to share their favorite Austin food with their families during the wedding. So I recreated the couple's Salty Sow menu favorites for the Hamilton Twelve Wedding Feast. One of my favorite food/couple/love tie-ins! Such a fun menu to create!
Charcuterie Station Buffet (6:00 pm)
o Smoked and Salted Meat Board: from Salt & Time butchery, served with fresh bread.
o Artisan Cheese Board: foreign and domestic cheeses with honey and preserves.
PASSED Appetizers (6:00 pm)
o Puffed Pastry Bites: covered with figs, caramelized apples and brie, then baked to golden brown.
entrée Selections (dinner @ 7:00pm)
o Hamilton 12 Salad: spring mix, cherry tomatoes, shaved parmesan, spiced pecans, balsamic.
o Baby Yukon Golds: roasted and smashed potatoes, drizzled with parsley and garlic butter.
o Roasted Brussels Sprouts: roasted then tossed with bacon and citrus vinaigrette.
o Bone-In Chicken Thighs: brined and slow roasted, served with white wine pan gravy.
o Vegetarian option: roasted portabella caps stuffed with creamy polenta and sun dried tomatoes.
